The final monthly Fresh Blood winner is Dublin's Mark Murphy. His mix is a refreshing blend of styles that we love at We Love...! Grooving minimal from labels such as Cadenza and Area Remote is juxtaposed with unashamed feelgood jacking tracks from the likes of JT Donaldson and We Love… favourite DJ Sneak, meaning there’s something for every fan of quality house music. Greg Wilson
Greg Wilson, the arch deacon of superior electro, is famed for exposing the UK to the radical new sound emerging from New York in the 80's. Considered the Grandaddy of electro, Wilson was at the epicentre of this musical phenomenon, with his illustrious nights at The Hacienda and Legend, dastardly mixing techniques and his brew of electronica and soul, he helped shephard the evolution of dance music in the UK. We Love...are excited and honoured to present Alfredo. A 1 hour journey into the good time soundscape that he produces every time he steps up to the booth. To try and capture the man's vitality on a one hour mix is impossible as so many who have witnessed him in his awe-inspiring career will testify. A dj who very much works on the premise of "the right track at the right time" this mix will merely hint at his work from the halcyon days on the Amnesia terrace to today's residency for We Love…A busy year is set to follow with the continuation of his residency with us and the release of We Love…Space on Sundays pt.2 with Paul Woolford in June. Phew, things are getting hectic here in Ibiza as we reach the peak of the summer season! So when we received this mix from Paddy Freeform, it was just lovely to kick back for an hour and let the downtempo grooves wash over us, an instant wind-down. Collins 303
"In 1987 an acid house crazy DJ was sent to prison by a military court for a crime he didn't commit. He promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the East London old skool underground. Today, still wanted by the government, he survives as a DJ of fortune. If you need a party rocked , if no one else can help, and if you can find him, maybe you can hire the 303". That intro definately made us sit up & take notice. But what was to follow we weren't quite expecting. An outstanding mix of genre-smashing skills through hip-hop, soul, electro to block-rocking french disco. This mix has to be heard to be believed. Collins 303 is a man who is at the very top of his game, expect him to be on top of the pile very soon.

Osmo
We said we wanted to hear a variety of sounds from our Freshblood entrants, and boy did we get that this month. After much deliberation we plumped for Osmo, who threw it all into the pot, from breaks to house to rave and beyond! Aimed squarely at the dancefloor, Osmo's mix is aggressive, but in a friendly way, with cuts from the likes of Bonde Do Role, Crookers, Jesse Rose and Bass Kleph. No wonder he’s already getting noticed - and here’s some more recognition of his talents – well done Osmo!

Andy Hoskins
Andy's deep selection had a nice Balearic feel to it, moving from the laidback vibes of Trusme and Peter Kruder, through the twitching funk of Trevor Loveys and Oliver, before finishing off with a Chris Isaak-sampling Jichael Mackson. We could picture ourselves grooving to these sounds as the Ibizan sun dipped behind the hills. Well done Andy!

Ian Blevins
Something a little different. Ian Blevins first came to our attention as recently as last summer. Those lucky enough to catch his sound excursions in El Salon and The Premier Etage at Space could do nothing but sit up and take notice of Ian's fine ear for a goove be it a 4/4 beat or a broken treat. This mix, recorded exlusively live for We Love...will make you yearn for the late afternoon sunshine that is now just a few short months away as Ian cruises through tracks from Metro Area, Zongamin and Mathew Dear. Deepgroove
Deepgroove have been rising steadily but surely to the top of the U.K. electronic music scene since the turn of the millennium This fact was recognised by DJ mag's best breakthrough act at the inaugural U.K. dance awards last year. Ahead of their We Love...debut this Sunday in the Discoteca the boys have provided We Love with an exclusive mix quite different from what you've ever heard them play before. Good friend and old favourite, Frank's been keeping a lower profile recently than we'd like. However he is back with a bang to rock The End in our final foray of our winter residency. On a mission to save house music from boredom with a fiercely energetic mixing style, digging deep into an immense record collection to throw in the last thing you’d expect at just the right time, Frank combines heavyweight basslines and Latin percussion with enough of his trademark acapella vocals and dubbed-out sound FX to turn any club inside out. Streetlife DJs
In the last few years no stars have risen as sharply or shone so brightly as that of the Streetlife Dj's. But their nebulas have been burning for quite some time before that. With over twenty years djing experience and literally hundreds of productions behind them this duo are as well learned as anyone to move things forward, and that they are. Their clever re-edits being a mainstay of any Streetlife set inject uniqueness and energy compared with the eclecticism of 2manydjs and the drive of the U.K. tech-prog scene. Their sound sits more comfortably with the tastemakers at Ed Banger and Kitsune where the boys have now set their stable. Although no strangers to We Love... (Stewart was a resident at Home) it was summer 2007 when Streetlife took Space by storm. With more dates for 2008 confirmed we hope to be hearing more of the same sounds that feature on this exclusive mix.

Hook N' sling
There's little doubt that genre blending house producer, Hook N Sling, is one of Australia’s fastest rising DJ/producer stars. His tunes are used like weapons by a growing amount of DJs around the world, be they be specializing in breaks, electro or tech house. He’s been coming up with solid gold of late, with numerous compliations for music magnates, ganing an Aria Nomination for a collaboration with Kid Kenobi, and scoring props from big league boys Pete Tong and James Zabiela. This is one fella to keep your eye on.

Jem Haynes
Next up in the We Love..mixes series is Jem 'Precision Cuts' Haynes, recorded live @ We Love...Chew The Fat @ The End back in November. Jem displays during his closing set why he's become a favourite down our way over the last year. 2 lads from Leeds, is a love affair born from drunken wrestling matches over who gets to put on the next record and has evolved into an audience enthralling show. One of the most interesting and underrated collaborations in club land, their eclectic sets earning them respect across the spectrum, with props from everyone from Greg Wilson to Ralph Lawson. Their unique musical approach threads paradise garage disco to deep house and sinister techno seamlessly, Their sets stretch from an Ableton live mash up to the turntables and back again, squeezing out wonky beats and electric treats.

Serge Santiago
Serge Santiago has been at the forefront of the tech funk scene for nearly a decade now, initially as one half of forward thinking duo Radio Slave before venturing solo in 2005 and carving a niche for himself as one of the most unique young producers around. From turning the heads of legends such as Trevor Jackson to Damian Lazarus and ultimately, securing his residency for We Love...in 2007. It seemed like natural selection for Serge to accompany Riton to compile our widely acclaimed inaugural cd. Cagedbaby
DJ, artist, singer, songwriter, remixer, producer are some of the many guises Cagedbaby can transgress at will. In the 2 years since the release of his acclaimed debut album "Will See You Now", Cagedbaby has toured with the Chemical Brothers and Fatboy Slim playing all over the globe including a storming debut for We Love...in 2007. Now, after a self imposed hiatus, Cagedbaby is live again and to celebrate presents something special. Pete Gooding
Pete Gooding's name is almost as synonymous with Ibiza as that of We Love...due to his legendary 10 year residency at the institution that is Mambo. However in 2006 Pete broke ranks and left this sunset persona in the shade to concentrate on a slew of productions that is as unbelievable in quantity as it is in quality. With over 20 releases in the past year from stables such as Urbantorque, Freefall, Subatomic and Toolroom it's a wonder how he finds the time to relentlessly produce these DJ mixes.
An artist with an array of styles and moods at his disposal, this mix, exclusive for We Love...represents his deep electronic tastes expertly presented by a professional at work.

DJ Lunik
During the course of our Fresh Blood competition, we've received more than our fair share of minimal - tech - progressive style mixes. However, this one from Aberdeen based DJ Lunik has topped the rest by keeping all the best features of this genre pool - it's driving, energetic and just builds and builds throughout. There are some familiar names thrown into the mix (Sasha, Dubfire, Deadmau5) but these are well balanced by underexposed gems from underground artists and labels, including a production from Lunik herself. This girl is one to watch!
