We held off putting out a mix CD until now due to the fact that we feel as soon as you put a disk onto the market place it defines what you are all about musically, a dangerous position to put yourself in unless you are fortunate enough to be able to release one a month like the fantastic Fabric series. We have thought long and hard about this; looked through our own CD collections to see if it can be possible to make a timeless compilation and there are a few: Coldcut's 70 Minutes of Madness and Northern Exposure by Sasha and Digweed spring to mind as does Paul Oakenfold’s massive Goa Mix, Tenaglia’s first one for Global Underground and Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Sessions still get played a few times a year and still amaze without a leaning towards nostalgia - just good, solid well-produced music that stands the test of time.

So, how to achieve the seemingly un-achievable? Look towards producers, DJs that have a grander plan when it comes to playing out – “nobody’s making the music I want to play so I’ll make my own”. Music where the personality of the producers comes to the forefront, remixing and re-editing tracks to suit certain clubs and crowds.

We think we have a winner but only time will tell! Enjoy We Love…Ibiza and let us know if you’re still playing it ten years from now…

Riton represents the Discoteca (inside) of Space and Serge Santiago the Terrace. Both Riton and Santiago played Space (and in fact Ibiza) for only the first time in 2006 – We Love loved them (of course), asked them to become residents during summer (five dates each) and they are now mixing the first ever ‘We Love…’ compilation. Both artists have also produced an exclusive track for the compilation (Riton ‘Sound of the Studio’ and Serge Santiago ‘R2D2’) – which you won’t find anywhere else other than on this CD and in their sets this summer… For the first part anyway.
