SAYONARA SUMMER 08
Try as we might to ignore it, the chill that has set in this last week is proof that the end is nigh. As we don our jeans & jumpers and question what on earth we are going to do for the winter season, We Love... are giving you an excuse to put off thinking about that for just a little longer. The closing party this year is all geared to be another of pure mayhem, I can't wait to get my hands dirty in the thick of it all.
I’m picturing the golden afternoon rays settling on the Sunset Terrace, blissed out faces & bodies writhing to the energetic sounds of Andy Baxter, Jonathon Ulysses, lil' pocket rocket Jason Bye, and closing, the man with the mic, Tom Novy.
The Discoteca will be a room of precision, with one of electronic music’s most esteemed duos Layo & Bushwacka!, seminal beat manipulator Jeff Mills, being followed by James Zabiela & Nic Fanciulli, with one of their famed back to back sets - hold onto your hats.
Spurning out the music that infects crowds like a dancing virus, crossover visionary Ben Watt is returning to us, thankfully back in perfect health. The electronically avant garde gigolo recording boss, DJ Hell, has a special terrace set lined up, to be followed by some sleazy beats from Lawler. Decknician extraordinaire Paul Woolford will be wrapping up 2008 on the terrace, so you can expect big things from this man!
The Chew The Fat! arena has brought the genre chameleon, Kid Blue, back for another lash at the casa roja, alongside proprietor Jem Haynes, Andy Carroll and Coley. Ethereal beats will be-a-flowing up on the Premier Etage, courtesy of residents Jon Howell, Ian "cosmicboy" Blevins and Jonathon Sa Trinxa.
Last but not least we welcome our Fresh Blood competition winner Mark Murphy to the fold. Mark impressed you and us so much with his mix – available to download on the website – that we have asked him to get things started on the main terrace this week. Worth getting out of bed for!
So off we bustle, brandishing our lil' smiley face buttons one final time, we head down to space to pay homage to the DJs that knit a brilliant web of colorful tones and beats that snare us in their maze of sound.

Yousef, the liverpudlian DJ/Producer and founder of the infamous feverish acid house party 'Circus’, has been busy carving his legacy across the global electronica scene for close on a decade now, after being propelled into the limelight with the Muzic Mag’s Bedroom Bedlam comp. Relentlessly playing worldwide has given Yousef a mature & broad musical taste, twisting electronica with house, vocals with techno. We recorded his last set at Space, and have it for you here as a two part junket through Yousef’s record collection.
