Date: 29-8-2012

It's looming. The final curtain call for the greatest show on earth. The one and only We Love Closing Fiesta takes place at Space on Sunday September 30, 2012 and to say we're planning to go out with a bang is a bit of an understatement. Five rooms, the world's best sound system and the who's who of the We Love 2012 roster for your musical entertainment. The end is nigh!

Except it's not - yet. There's much more to come before the end is upon us. Luckily for us (and that also means you), there are five Sundays in September - check the line-ups below to see what takes your fancy!

We Love Closing Fiesta - Sunday 30 September 2012September 30 - THE CLOSING PARTY
It's an all out extravaganza of epic proportion. In the Discoteca it's loud for the crowds, hosted by James Zabiela's Born Electric and with We Love debuts from the bassy-techno of Modeselektor and the incredible sounds of Shackleton, both of whom are bringing their full live experience to the best sounding room on the island. Jem Haynes goes back to back with Jason Bye to get things moving. The Terraza is a battle of the bands with Ibiza stalwarts Groove Armada facing off against Hot Chip DJs Felix & Al plus their friends and collaborators The 2 Bears. The only solo performance in the room comes from Paul Woolford, joined by fellow Leeds natives PBR Streetgang.

On the Sunset Terrace it's our new DJs we trust in the form of BBC Radio 1's Jaymo & Andy George, joined by über-engineer Mat Playford and his box of machines. After Dark, Mr Doris has invited Pier Bucci & Friends to showcase their new live show Mambotur - expect Latin vibes via Basic Channel. Dave Chambers and Mo'Funk offer support for one last hurrah. It's a Feel My Bicep thing in El Salon with the duo welcoming uber pop goddess Little Boots and gym buddies Kitt Proudfoot and Swoosh + Cromby. Up on the Premier Etage it's a family affair with Alfredo & Jaime Fiorito's The Heritage Project. Joining them will be Andy Carroll, Ian C and Ian Blevins 'til the break of dawn.

We Love Space Sundays 2012 - 2nd septemberSeptember 2
Vitalik host the Terraza for their fourth birthday celebration with performances from three markedly different artists who all share a very similar vision: Carl Craig and a back-to-back session with Four Tet & Caribou. It's a coup to have so many maestros of this calibre in one of music's most famous rooms. Vitalik's head honcho Ryan O Gorman goes back to back with fellow Vitalik artist jozif whilst resident Paul Woolford completes the room's line-up. In the Discoteca the refined dark electronics of Ivan Smagghe are up alongside the International Gigolo DJ Hell. There's also the welcome return of mega star Tiga and a special one off live return for the mighty Slam.

On the Sunset Terrace long-term supporter of all things We Love Lottie is joined by Jason Bye for the evening session. After Dark it's yet another master stroke for Mr Doris when he welcomes the original cut-up / mash-up / anything goes sounds of the one and only DJ Yoda alongside the hip-hop flavours of Mo'Funk. In El Salon things are going to pump with Feel My Bicep, Leisureware and Ian Blevins all night long. Up on the Premier Etage it's a chance to catch a Balearic master class with Alfredo, Andy Carroll and Ben Korbel.

We Love Space Sundays 2012 - 9th SeptemberSeptember 9
Things are set to get intense when Chew The Fat! and Born Electric bring resident Foamo, relative newcomer Midland and perennial favourite James Zabiela to the ‘room of doom'. We welcome the return of back-to-back label mates Appleblim and Al Tourettes for their debut live show. Resident Jason Bye kicks things off in the Discoteca. Dirtybird, the San Franciscan party collective and record label headed up by Claude VonStroke take over the Terraza for a night of sub bass and synths. Expect the dots between acid house and UK bass to be joined when Eats Everything and Justin Martin are joined by duo Catz n Dogz. Monthly stalwarts PBR Streetgang get things moving.

On the Sunset Terrace it's those new DJs we trust Jaymo & Andy George joining Jem Haynes and Djoz for the pre-midnight act. After Dark, Mr Doris & Ian C welcome the sample based electronic hip-hop of A Skillz and infectious eclecticism of David Phillip. In El Salon it's all back to the Love Lounge when the eponymous Kelly invites The Shack (Guy & Dan Williams), John Beach  and Robert Outch into her parlour. On the Premier Etage it's the standard of Alfredo and Andy Carroll with the deviation of Ian Blevins.

We Love Space Sundays 2012 - 16th SeptemberSeptember 16
The final Innvervisions showcase for 2012 features the full complement of Henrik Schwarz's uncompromising live set, Âme combining live electronics and DJing and fan favourite Dixon. They welcome Norwegian editor Todd Terje and Ryan O Gorman with percussionist Ian C. The always-awesome Simian Mobile Disco return for what will be their fully live Ibiza debut and only live show on the island this year. And perennial favourite Francesco Tristano returns to the main room, bringing his own full live solo show while friend and former collaborator Agoria returns for his final appearance this year. Terrace favourite Ralph Lawson marks the end of his Ibiza summer with a one off Discoteca techno show and Jem Haynes opens proceedings.

On the Sunset Terrace it's the indomitable Funkagenda with support from the rolling house of Andy Baxter. Mr Doris and Andy Carroll welcome back the quality funk, soul, hip hop and breaks of Mark Rae after a stunning performance last year. In El Salon, Ben Terry and Matty J. Up on the Premier Etage, veteran Alfredo is joined by cheerful luddite Jamie Fatneck and Ben Korbel taking things close to the bone until close.

We Love Space Sundays 2012 - 23rd SeptemberSeptember 23
Our penultimate party of the summer sees more techno than you can shake a stylus at in the Discoteca. There are legends from both side of the pond with Detroit's Derrick May and Glasgow's Slam lining up purveyors of the new school Sandwell District, Geddes and resident Jem Haynes. The wide-ranging electronica of James Zabiela switches over to the Terraza alongside the crowd-pleasing boom of 2manydjs and the refined tastes of Ian Blevins and the brilliant French Tech styling of summer fave Technasia rounds off a truly eclectic session.

On the Sunset Terrace, Jonathan UIysses & Ian C bring the feel good evening vibes with friend of the family Callum also appearing for the pre-midnight session. After Dark, Mr Doris welcomes his old buddies the Soundcrash DJs and idol DJ Vadim for an extended session of world music filtered through an urban lens - his Ibiza debut. It's a Disco Bloodbath in El Salon with Damon Martin and Ben Pistor, while it's experience meets exuberance upstairs on the Premier Etage with Alfredo, Andy Carroll and Ben Korbel.

We Love Radio

This week's episode features two long-term We Love favourites - Miss Kittin playing live on the Terraza and DJ E.A.S.E. aka Nightmares On Wax selecting some secret weapons from his After Dark set on the Sunset Terrace. We chat with Miss Kittin about her new LP and getting thrown out of Pacha while DJ E.A.S.E. tells us why he swapped Leeds for Ibiza and just how hard it is to make music in the sun. Music comes from Timo Garcia & Manu Delago, Captain Planet and B-Jam. Hosted by Andy Wilson.

We all love a freebie, and if that freebie just so happens to include two return airline tickets to Ibiza from anywhere in the EU, two nights accommodation at our fave hotel Boutique Hostal Salinas AND (above all else) two tickets to the We Love Closing Fiesta on September 30, we'd do pretty much anything to get it. Except it's much easier than that. All you need to do is click the link below to Resident Advisor and follow the instructions for a chance to win. Oh - and we'll even chuck in a handful of drinks tickets (like gold in Ibiza) and the chance to meet and greet some of the artists on the line-up. Get in there.

We Love Vitalik All StarsTo celebrate the label's fourth birthday, Vitalik have enlisted some of their most capable sonic technicians to compile a rather special collection of edits. Series one features edits from Pezzner, Anonym, Soulade, Franklin De Costa who all make a slightly left of centre take on classic cuts from artists like Curtis Mayfield, Bob James and Talking Heads. Each producer's edit carries a distinct signature of their individual production styles and refreshingly absent of any disco edits.

DJ Mix: Jonathan UlyssesMiss Kittin
Sassy, sexy and easily able to dominate a DJ booth, Caroline Hervé, better known as Miss Kittin, is a DJ, singer and force to be reckoned with. In honour of last weekend's French revolution on our terrace, Miss Kittin has provided us with a mix extraordinaire that, just like herself, is typically coquettish, seductive and stylish. Vive la France...

Agoria DJ MixAgoria
Belonging to the long-line of artists emerging from the French electronic scene, Sébastien Devaud aka Agoria's influences of jazz and Detroit techno are more than plausible in this exclusive recording of his Treehouse gig in Miami back in June and is getting the team at We Love HQ fully equipped for his final gig at Space on September 16. Here it is for you to enjoy.

Jaymo and Andy George

Photo diary - Jaymo & Andy George

Routinely assembling a zealous crowd of enthusiastic clubbers and entertaining them with their irrepressible energy and fresh selections from behind the decks, Jaymo & Andy George have also become well known amongst us behind-the-sceners for their staying power. Indeed, hours after their set, the audacious duo can be found wandering the inner labyrinths of Space in search of superstar DJs to interview or, more commonly, for more sacred drinks tickets. To help celebrate Space's 23rd birthday, we handed them a disposable camera and set them off into the night to capture their backstage capers...

Paul Woolford
Friends & Family - Paul Woolford
Paul Woolford has a high pedigree. Having started out as a resident at the monstrous legend of a club, Back to Basics in Leeds, Wooly soon caught the eyes and ears of We Love's musical director, Mark Broadbent and joined our hefty roster of DJs back in 2005. With an inconceivable talent for picking out whopping great aural delights and sporting the constitution and stamina of an ox, it only seemed fitting that his mentor sat him down and quizzed him about his Northern heritage, his musical heroes and his relationship with us at We Love...
