WE LOVE... SEPTEMBER!


There are just four Sundays left to hop on that plane and soak up the sun in Ibiza as far as we’re concerned... that’s four more massive We Love parties (or more precisely, three massive parties and one behemoth of a closing party), four more after-parties, four more hangovers and only four more pay cheques for our summer team!

So which September week takes your fancy?

September 4:
In a one-off special appearance, Laurent Garnier presents his Live Booth Sessions with Scan X & Benjamin Rippert on the Terraza, supported by Steve Lawler and jozif. The Discoteca features Tensnake, Paul Woolford, Jem Haynes and Ivan Smagghe & Tim Paris as ‘It’s a fine line’. Rock Nights deck out the Sunset Terrace once again, then After Dark it’s over to Mr Doris and Mark Rae (of Rae & Christian fame). We bid farewell to the Black Rabbits in El Salon, welcome back Ryan O Gorman’s Burlington Project to the Red Box with a special Native Instruments sponsored performance by the hottest ‘underground’ act of the moment Catz n Dogz and get very Balearic on the Green Valley Terrace with Alfredo, Ian Blevins, Callum and Andy Carroll.

September 11:
Groove Armada present their penultimate Red Light Session alongside Claude VonStroke & Justin Martin, Lottie and Mat Playford. Chew the Fat! takes on Rock Nights in the Discoteca, with 2manydjs, James Zabiela, Foamo and Jem Haynes while the Sunset Terrace goes old school with Jason Bye, Jonathan Ulysses, Alex Taylor and Ian C. Proto-house upstarts Bicep hit El Salon and in the Red Box, Burlington Project present a one-off special from Berlin label Ostgut Ton and Panorama Bar resident Steffi. Support comes from our very own island faves Big L & Roo Dog spinning everything from west coast to east coast beats and pieces.

September 18:
If you missed last year’s amazing live performance by pianist Francesco Tristano and techno luminary Carl Craig, take our advice – do not miss it again! The Discoteca is where it’s at, with Michael Mayer and Ewan Pearson also joining in. It’s also the final Red Light Session from Groove Armada on the Terraza, plus appearances by summer stalwarts Tensnake, Ralph Lawson, PBR Streetgang and Jason Bye. Funkagenda smashes the Sunset Terrace, Folk Café take over El Salon, and Burlington Project presents Jaunt with Blackhall & Bookless in the Red Box.

September 25:
The closing party presents heavy hitters Fatboy Slim and 2manydjs on the Terraza, along with favorites Joris Voorn and Jem Haynes. Aphex Twin triumphantly returns to the Discoteca and closing out his 10th season in Ibiza is James Zabiela, alongside Technasia, jozif and DJ Rephlex. Rock Nights say adios to the Sunset Terrace with Rob Da Bank, After Dark showcase an audio-visual spectacular featuring DJ Cheeba, Tirk Records are back for a final soiree in El Salon with Ben Terry, Matty J and guest Jamie Bull and, as is becoming closing party tradition, Clive Henry is on board in the Red Box with Alex Arnout. Waving goodbye to those last late-night planes on the Green Valley Terrace are Alfredo, Ian Blevins, Jamie 'Fatneck' Low and Jon Howell.

WE LOVE... Ministry Closing Fiesta September 24, 2011: On the eve of our Space closing party we kick things off in London at our UK base Ministry of Sound with special guest Guy Gerber making his We Love debut and long time resident and Space fave Paul Woolford. Mat Playford brings his live set-up to The Box and Riva Starr impressed us so much at our gig in Holland that we've invited him back for this gig too. WE LOVE... The Warehouse Project October 1, 2011: After a few years absence from the Manchester party circuit we are very pleased to be back at The Warehouse Project, with some of our favorite acts from this summer. Now in his tenth year as a We Love... resident, technical maestro James Zabiela headlines the event, joined by the true godfather of techno Derrick May. Nic Fanciulli and Geddes return to the fold, alongside Ralph Lawson's full live band 2020Soundsystem and newly initiated resident jozif. Completing the line-up, Jem Haynes and Mat Playford bring the sounds of the Space Discoteca and Terrace respectively to the Piccadilly car park. Click here to buy tickets
