In comparison to summer, Ibiza in November may come across as a bit of a ghost town to those not in-the-know. Gone are the hordes of scantily clad peeps waiting on the streets, the traffic banked up coming in and out of town and long queues in the shops, the banks or at the taxi ranks. However it's hardly a case of a town in hibernation - it's in the back streets and behind closed doors where the action all takes place. You just have to know where to look...



Cleverly secluded in alleys of the old town, Lo Cura tempts us with seemingly endless glasses of vino tinto and après-dinner hierbas, while perched on the sands behind the deserted streets of Playa Den Bossa, Delano offers one of the best Sunday roasts we've ever had, with an unobstructed beach view as an added bonus. Inside the depths of Hotel Es Vive you'll find the island's party hardiest peeps lurking, managing to find ways to carry on despite the local policia's concerted efforts to put a lid on it and tucked away on a side street in Santa Eulalia, we've even discovered a day spa offering a winter sunbathing deck - score!

Speaking of the streets, we've also experienced a bit of confusion crossing the road of late as the clever folk in our local town hall have decided to change the direction of some of Ibiza town's main one-way streets. Why? We're not sure they actually need a reason, but there's all new painted arrows and some strategically placed council workers in fluoro vests on hand to help those not knowing which way to look in the mean time! We hear, in true Ibiza fashion, if it doesn't work out they'll simply change it back before summer. We love... Ibiza town planning!

WE LOVE RADIO The first of our monthly podcasts looks back at the closing party at Space on September 27th. We talk to more of the DJs playing on the night, including Jem Haynes, Jon Sa Trinxa, Mr Doris, Smokin Jo and Andy Baxter. They also pick out their top tracks for the summer.
