WE LOVE... JUNE!
The countdown is on at We Love HQ with just over a week to go until we throw open the doors at Space for the We Love… Opening Fiesta (7pm – don’t be late!). But despite our eagerness to hit the ground running, let’s not forget there are two more massive We Love fiestas in June – line-ups below - giving you all the more reason to get those flights booked if you haven’t already!
10 June - OPENING PARTY
The Innervisions collective are back on the Terraza in the form of Dixon, Âme and Henrik Schwarz, playing the first of their four slots this summer, alongside Tensnake and seasoned campaigner Ryan O'Gorman. In the Discoteca Carl Craig's 69’s thundering breakbeats and funk flickers are followed up by fellow D-Town native Derrick May, with Jem Haynes opening the proceedings and a back-to-back session between Paul Woolford and Ben UFO.
Jaymo & Andy George bring their brand of booty-moving house and disco back to the Sunset Terrace, alongside resident Jason Bye. Mr Doris and his After Dark project welcome The Nextmen for their We Love debut - an Ibiza exclusive - alongside Mo’ Funk and percussionist Ian C. El Salon hostess with the mostess Kelly Love invites Luca C & Brigante to the Love Lounge while originator Alfredo returns the rooftop Premier Etage with The Garden Festival residents El Harvo & Cristophe and our very own Ian Blevins.

17 June
James Zabiela welcomes two We Love debut artists to his 'room of doom', the Discoteca - UK-bass maestro Scuba and experimental house wunderkid Midland. Warming up is resident Jem Haynes. On the Terraza Hot Chip DJs Felix & Al are joined by another 'Chip element in the form of avant-pop upstarts The 2Bears. The free spirited Agoria and always jackin' Heidi also feature along with the return of resident and Rebel Raver jozif.
On the Sunset Terrace long-time Space resident Jonathan Ulysses is joined by über-engineer Mat Playford and percussionist Ian C. After Dark, Mr Doris welcomes Jalapeno record boss Trevor Mac alongside northern funkster Smoove. Vinyl only imprint E.A.R takes over El Salon for an eclectic session with J. Cub and Ryan Shaw while it's a family affair on the Premier Etage with Alfredo & Jaime Fiorito and Callum taking things on until sunrise.

24 June
On the Terraza renowned UK house label 2020Vision take over with boss Ralph Lawson heading up proceedings, welcoming label-mates Crazy P Soundsystem and residents PBR Streetgang alongside Tensnake and current house poster boy Julio Bashmore. London party starters Chew The Fat! bring resident Foamo back to the Discoteca while friend of the family Felix Da Housecat brings the noise and dOP get the party started with their unique live show of vocal-laden sophisti-house, with resident Jason Bye adding the finishing touches to the line-up.
Jaymo & Andy George are back with their own brand of forward thinking nu-disco warmed up by Jem Haynes. From midnight until close Mr Doris' After Dark project welcomes funkafied Canadian Stickybuds and the genre-hopping eclecticism of D-Funk. Belfast gym bunnies Bicep spin alongside Balearic don David Phillips in El Salon and on the Premier Etage Company Magazine present Alfredo, Jamie 'Fatneck' Low and Ian Blevins.

Preceding our opening party at Space by just one day is our London opening party at Ministry Of Sound on June 9. We Love fave James Zabiela is back in the main room, joined by Detroit techno ambassador Stacey Pullen and Catz 'N Dogz. The 103 plays host to Balearic legend Alfredo and son Jaime Fiorito, presenting the Heritage Project all night long. WE LOVE... OFF SONAR
While one party opens, another closes, and we're heading across the Med to Barcelona for the Off Sonar closing party! In conjunction with our friends Studio 80, we'll be hosting the final event on Monday June 18 at the fabulous Mac Arena Mar beach venue, kicking off at 2pm. Headlining the event is new We Love regular Agoria, joined by Monika Kruse, Gregor Tresher, Jimpster, Lauhaus, Jozif, Boris Werner, Matt Tolfrey, Droog, Onno live, Tom Ruijg and Efde. WE LOVE... THE GARDEN FESTIVAL
With an ethos and booking policy so closely linked it seems strange that 2012 is the first year The Garden Festival and We Love have collaborated! On July 6 the HMS We Love sets sail on its maiden Adriatic voyage manned by a trio of We Love residents: PBR Streetgang, Ian Blevins and Mr Doris, embarking at 18:30. Combining sun, sea, sounds and sangria with a dash of Balearic spirit, it’s sure to put a smile on the face of even the saltiest of sea dogs. Click here to read more |
