WE LOVE... A HEAT WAVE IN OCTOBER - YEAH!

Here on the remarkably sunny white isle, we've been at a bit of a loose end these past few Sundays. No DJs to pick up from the airport, no guest list catastrophes and no scrounging around for drinks tickets to keep that seemingly endless supply of shots of Hierbas coming thick and fast over the bar. Hmmm and no Monday morning hangovers either, funnily enough!

The ghost of We Love past is sniffing around the place however, in the form of new We Love... TV episodes, a bevy of DJ mixes recorded live in the club, t-shirts emblazoned with our beloved smiley face - check all the details below so you too, can cling to the memories before they fade faster than your holiday tan!

And by the way, it's definitely still tan time over here. The beaches are devoid of tourists but brimming with Ibiza locals and workers, friends we haven't seen since way back in June all making the most of the hot spell we're having. The island is looking like a postcard from the 70s (minus the high-cut bikinis), with the amazing pink light at sundown - there's even flamingoes if you know where to look! It's time for l-o-n-g Sunday lunches on the beach or out in the campo (meaning probably more Monday morning hangovers after all), fish and chips on Fridays and setting up camp once again in our trusty Saturday night watering hole Lo Cura. You didn't think we'd let resident DJ, hotelier and barman extraordinaire David Phillips have a day off now, did you?

Speaking of days off, now that we have them, last week saw We Love... throw an awesome end-of-season party on a sailboat for our good mates, DJs and staff, with the help of hostess-with-the-mostess and honorary We Lover Carly of Ibiza Med (most weeks she spends as much time in the club as we do!), in order to see out the season in style. There was talk of a plan to make our guests walk the plank to atone for their summer sins... but in the end, it was every man for himself. We're only just recovering from a serious case of the sea legs... it was the water you know, and never the beer that made us wobbly!

WE LOVE TV After spending many an hour analysing the footage from our closing party extravaganza, the time has finally come to officially unveil the latest two-part edition of We Love... DJ MIXES - RESIDENT WRAP UP Before they start packing up the record bags and heading to warmer climates, we asked our resident DJs to pass on their favourite summer DJ mixes for you to download. We've got sets recorded live at We Love... to bring back those hazy memories, with the Sunset Terrace represented by Jason Bye and Jonathan Ulysses plus Jon Howell live on the Premier Etage. We've also managed to nab Andy Baxter's opening set from the closing party and David Phillips's epic Discoteca warm-up from the same night. WE LOVE... REMIXED While some people were dancing this summer, others were locked away inside their studios busily crafting their remixes for the We Love... remix competition that ran across the summer. Our good mates Paul Woolford, Yousef, Doman and Gooding, Tiefschwarz, TRNSTTER, Caged Baby, Dirty Tourists, 2020 Soundsystem and LUV*JAM kindly donated tracks to be remixed and the prize for each winner was to have their mixes released by the labels and artists involved, plus be included on the exclusive, FREE, end-of-summer We Love... mix, compiled by We Love... resident DJ and producer, Jem Haynes.
