Last year we embarked on a bold new project, this took the form of our Fresh Blood program. Through our shared ethos of nurturing upcoming artists, We Love Music in association with the Burlington Project created The Fresh Blood Program in search of independent labels, underground events and any kind of musical collective who have successfully contributed to their scene. Fresh Blood was created to enable upcoming djs and musical event organizers to take what they do to a wider audience.

It was a bold move opening up our club and handing over the reigns to relative strangers for six of our sixteen dates in the Red Box with We Love Space. However we had full faith that there were plenty of innovative creative minds amply able and ready to fill the shoes. The hunt was on and six applicants were chosen to exhibit their music and bring their unique vibe to the red box. lo*kee and Cerca Trova represented for London while mono_cult, mUmU, Just Jack and Jaunt exuded the northern pressure.

This summer we will be expanding on the Fresh Blood project by taking a selection of last years finalists into the studio to record an EP for the newly established We Love Recordings. All the crews involved will be flown to Ibiza for the record launch party which takes place in the Redbox of Space in September.
