We Love Music in association with the G-Shock Burlington Project are embarking on a bold new project. Our shared ethos of nurturing upcoming artists has given life to our Fresh Blood program.
In the coming months we will be searching for independent labels, parties and any other kind of musical collective who are doing something special. Entrants will sign up via the welove-music.com site and set up a group on burlingtonproject.com where their music and information will be hosted.
The contest is open to all however we should clarify this is not a bedroom DJ competition, we are looking for people playing underground parties, running niche events or indie labels that are looking to take what they do to a larger audience.
Finalists will be given dates in the Red Box of Space over the summer, the groups that generate the most interest and hold the best events will carry on working with We Love, Burlington Project and G-Shock though their European events.
For us this is a unique opportunity for us to exhibit the the rising stars of the underground; for our entrants this is a chance to showcase what they do in Space and and work with us on our future projects.
Native Instruments are also on-board supporting this project by giving their new Traktor Prodcuts to the semifinalists.
Here’s how to enter...

And the Winners are:
July 4th: lo*kee with DJ's Nisekay and Sebastian Voigt
Sunday July the 4th sees the first of our Fresh Blood finalists make their Space debut. Our search for independent musical collectives has unearthed Lo*kee as the first of the groups acknowledged as contributing to the underground scene through their music, events and the public support they received in Fresh Blood.
From their early beginnings in "The Candy Factory" (A conversion of their home in East London) they took the concept of a house party to a whole new dimension. lo*kee is simply about having a good time, letting go, surrounded by the right people, in the right space, at the right time and getting lost in the music....nothing else.
As lo*kee grew, so did the friends, and friends of friends, the guests and residents...and inevitably the venues. Utilizing disused warehouse spaces, strip clubs, abandoned leather and textile factories lo*kee has brought us inner city beaches, homemade bars, sweating ceilings, palm trees, underground rave dens.
Fearlessly sticking to their ethos of producing good times whilst maintaining the aloofness that keeps it as intimate, intense and special as it has been since the beginning lo*kee maintain their deserved reputation as one of London's most devoted underground party crews.
We warmly welcome them to Burlington Project to make their mark on the Redbox and officially kick off Fresh Blood.
July 11th: Cerca Trova with DJ's Rossko and Daniel
Cerca Trova
East London basement ravers Cerca Trova have been causing a stir in London with their strpped down no-nonsence party attitude. An underground rave in the true sense of the word this is what they have to say on the subject
"Cerca Trova" - "Seek and you shall find" - is a tantalizing five-century-old message painted on a fresco in the council hall of Florence's Palazzo Vecchio. Researchers now believe these cryptic words could be a clue to the location of a long-lost Leonardo da Vinci painting. "Cerca Trova" was a hidden message conveyed in his painting that was a clue to find a further 'masterpiece' he created.
We emulate this by signifying through our music, our intention is to fuse quality underground House and Techno artists to paint this message and bring together like minded people who share the same passion in life and music.”
July 18th: Mumu with DJ's Lee Rands and Phil Jones
Mumu
Originating as a Liverpool, seasoned Ibiza veteran Trevor O Loughlin did like many great men before him and took his Balearic experience back to the UK and created something very special in his home town. A trademark sound of quality house & techno has cultivated a loyal following, with monthly parties in Liverpool seeing the likes of Rhadoo, Mathias Kaden and Anja Schneider, rock clubs, basements, warehouses and terraces, leading to mUmU being voted 5th best UK clubnight 2008 by mixmag.
Recent times have seen mUmU throw itself into regular sunday social's in london, taking control of the yard at Cargo for some cool daytime, off the radar parties. A number of beach parties will see them spread their wings across Ibiza this summer also.
