Since being transformed in recent years from the infamous outdoor area it once was, Space's Terraza is the modernist structure of glass, concrete and steel which still allows copious sunlight to stream onto the hallowed dancefloor. Roof or no roof, it's what you do with the room that counts, house music with a concealed edge is the order of the day (and night). It's original al fresco heyday was born from an infamous incident in which UK DJs Brandon Block and Alex P decided that after the club had closed the music must continue and took turntables out onto the terrace for the first time. Since then, the room has become part of the fabric of Ibiza with tales of unbridled hedonism in the sunshine going down in international clubbing lore. In it's slicker, new, glass fronted incarnation, residencies from the likes of Groove Armada, Steve Lawler and Miss Kittin have continued to fly the flag of upfront, high-calibre house and electronica in a room as famous as the club itself.
