The Pool and Tirk Records rose from the legendary Nuphonic stable. Nuphonic was a forerunner to the recent disco resurgence, pioneering the sounds and inspiration from that era via its output from 1995 to 2002. Revered across the world it established a reputation for quality and diversity. Tirk Records follows in this tradition, releasing cutting edge music from all corners of the dance music spectrum. From the “kraut-pop” of Fujiya & Miyagi, to the ‘punk-funk’ of New Young Pony Club via UK electro pioneer Greg Wilson, Tom Findlay (Groove Armada), Chaz Jankel (The Blockheads), Idjut Boys, Time & Space Machine and a great many more. The label throws events around the globe that spread its message far and wide.
