Tim has been DJing for over 8 years, playing gigs around Manchester at famed clubs such as Sankeys Soap before getting together with friends and starting their own monthly soiree at a unique venue set in the backstreets of the city. They have been successfully running Naive Melody for over four years with an impeccable choice of guests including Carl Craig, Joakim, Daniel Wang and Ivan Smagghe to name but a few, not forgetting their recent 4th birthday being celebrated with Andrew Weatherall. The night has gone from strength to strength with no sign of slowing down, winning acclaim and a generous bursary from Smirnoff's Original Nights along the way in 2008.
A versatile selector, Tim is as comfortable warming up the night for some of the worlds most acclaimed DJ's as he is rocking the floor at peaktime hours. His musical tastes are extremely broad and this is reflected in his sets, not restricting himself by genres or tempo's, crafting together a range of music new and old with a common consistency in quality. He is currently spending his time studying a degree in Sound Engineering, honing his technical skills across all areas of audio whilst taking time producing his own tracks.
A great mix that had us hooked from the start. Quite difficult to describe the style but very listenable. We think Tim put it best himself:
With this mix I tried to encapsulate a broad scope of my tastes within electronic music with an emphasis on melodic content. I have edited most of the tracks to varying extents to keep an evolving flow throughout and have more control of the programming. Starting off at quite a slow tempo there's everything from disco to electronica, house, techno and acid. I like to keep a degree of eclecticism yet making sure everything relates and is cohesive as a whole which is always a challenge. It's hopefully something that can be enjoyed as home listening as well as in the club.
