Romain is one the veteran of the French electronic scene. From 1987 to 1989, he worked at Bonus Beat Records shop, the first shop in Paris dedicated to Underground Dance Music. Then this seminal shop took the name of BPM, and Romain co-runed it till 1997. In 1990, he played his first DJ set in the famous Mozinor French rave party. From 1999 to 2001, Romain played every week in Secret party at Queen, with 2 other resident DJs, Dimitri From Paris and Ivan Smagghe. He's still one of the favorite French DJ of Dimitri. In 2002, he was resident DJ in one of the oldest discotheque in the world, the Bus Palladium in Paris.

Besides being an encyclopedia universalis of House music, Romain is one of Respect is burning favorite French DJ around. He rocked Respect parties in Miami (WMC 2000), Festival de Cannes (Dancer in the Dark Première), MTV Music Awards in Stockholm, and played in Chicago, London, New York, San Francisco, Milan, Brussels, Copenhagen, Oslo, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Caracas, Varsovie, Amsterdam...

His other activity is to run is own label, Basenotic Records, founded in 1996. Some of the artists who recorded for his label are: DJ Deep, Julien Jabre, DJ Gregory, Dimitri from Paris, Jean-Jacques Perrey, Motorbass, Pepe Bradock, Ark... And the label is supported worldwide by DJs like Tony Humphries, Frankie Knuckles or Little Louie Vega.

Romain also runs a new label with his Chicagoan partner Jim Greens Keepers. The label is called G-Swing and offers a new mix of Swing and House with a real Chicago flavor.
