Multi-talented, Australian DJ Mo’funk is fresh from a stormingly successful 2008 season in Ibiza, where the island immediately embraced his skills, after he made an incredible impact. New-comer to the island Moe shocked the industry by taking up an enviable residency at Ibiza’s finest – the illustrious Pacha – spinning up to 4 times a week! On top of this, guest appearances at Bar M, Mambo and Ibiza Rocks ensured that Moe went down in history for one of the most impressive first seasons in Ibiza’s DJ history! Highly respected by the powers that be on the island, he even had heads turning spinning at The Ibiza DJ Awards to most of the major players in the dance music industry!

Moe is part of the new generation of Australian DJs making major moves within the club scene. Through his musical & technical diversity his skills on the decks have been showcased throughout Australia, USA, UK & Europe; playing sounds from Acid-Jazz, Soul, RnB & Party Hip-Hop right through to Breaks and the many flavours of House. Going on 12 years of record collecting this 26 year old has done more in his DJ career than many in the industry simply for the pure love of music.
The major turning point for Moe’s career came in 2004 with the honour of NSW Champion for the Heineken Thirst National DJ Finals, receiving high praise from judges (inc. Erick Morillo and Roger Sanchez) and competitors alike. The past 3 years he moved onto the festival circuit performing regularly at Good Vibrations, Fuzzy’s 360, Parklife & Harbourlife events & The Playground Weekender. 2006 was capped off with Moe receiving the 3d World Mag Award for “The Next Big Thing”

Since his professional introduction to Sydney’s club scene in 2001, Moe has gone from strength to strength, tallying up club gigs throughout Sydney as well as regular trips around Australia. His sound spans the many genres that are associated with funk and is mixed by a player who brings creativity and knowledge to the game.

As one of the key djs involved in exposing the advances of digital djing in Australia, Moe had the attention of several software developers, having previously used M-Audio’s TORQ software, Moe is now dedicated to using Serato Scratch Live

He has had the pleasure of Warming up for Iconic stars like Jazzy Jeff, Grandmaster Flash, Dj Shadow, Incognito & Z Trip. As well as playing alongside the likes of Scratch Perverts, Kraak & Smaak, Dj Sneak, Zane Lowe, Supernatural MC, Dj Muggs (Cypress Hill), Tony Touch, Trevor Nelson, Funkagenda, Dynamo Productions, Black Grass, The Nextmen, Fergie, Meat Katie, Pnau, Katalyst, Resin Dogs and many many more.

Moe also had his music fix co-hosting the Friday Sunsets show with Inthemix on FBI Radio - interviewing a vast array of internationals: Mark Farina, Anthony Pappa, DJ Godfather, Inland Knights, Scratch Perverts, Desyn Masielo, Pendulum, Martin Solveig, Christoper Lawrence, Swedish House Mafia, Hernan Cattaneo, to name but a few! The show came to an end in early March ’07 and was one of the most popular shows on FBi radio for nearly 3.5 years.
