Matts love for all things house and techno came from his time spent working in the summer in Ibiza and spinning at various villa parties, he returned home, inspired with what he had seen…..

Matt and a group of 4 friends created 'mono_cult' a colourful Sunday daytime party in Leeds, taking in a variety of different and unique venues that hosted act's and DJs; such as Ame, Reboot, Jay Haze, Rhadoo, Nick Curly, Sascha Dive, Prosumer, Move D and Tensnake. The buzz about mono_cult also spread across to Ibiza where Matt and the crew held a weekly residency at Space for Carl Cox's night, hosting the El salon where they played alongside Laurent Garnier and Josh Wink during the summer of 07.

2008 saw a new residency for Leeds after hours, Soapbox, whilst mono_cult had highlights including an amazing Sonar Party at La Terrazza in Barcelona. His current style incorporates everything from house, to techno, and disco-a sound which has been formed whilst working for Ralph Lawson's 2020vision label over the past 3 years. He is also currently in the process of setting up a new label adventure,  Fina Records . This exciting new project is a joint venture between Matt, Ralph Lawson and Simon Morell and will showcase the deeper side of house and disco.
