Jon-Jak had a passion for music from a young age, mixing music on cassette tapes from age 8! Growing up in London his love of music only grew and at age 17, with a set of Sound Lab decks at his fingertips, he found his own DJing style and gained the confidence to start playing out to crowds.

His first break came with a three-month trip to Kavos, Greece in 1999 when he started playing regular sets at all the beach bars there. Jon returned to London in 2000 and for the last 6 years has been playing all over the UK in Southampton, Essex and London venues including The Cross (RIP), Aquarium, 54, The Island, as well as Culture Box in Denmark and Kandahar in Austria.

Whilst constantly developing his style and creativity Jon Jak’s dream, like most DJs, had always been to play in Ibiza, so in late 2006 he made the move and took up residency on the Island  at Guarana and Grial leading to other residencies in 2007 / 2008 including Heaven and a weekly set in Privilege for Empire.

In 2008 Jon-Jak established a weekly party called Thailandia at Grial in Ibiza and also successfully promoted and ran an original London club night - MiMo - on Thursday nights at Guarana where he played his debut Ibiza set three years earlier proving that he is more than just a DJ. He has the talent, drive and ability to make a successful party run smoothly, delivering quality music to awaiting crowds whatever the vibe and situation.

He has also effectively transitioned the summer success of MiMo Ibiza to a weekly winter residency on Saturdays, and a new Sunday night winter residency alongside Dog House Domingos. Moving to Thailand Jon Jak worked with We Love for the NYE party at The Rock in Hadd rin, where the original full moon parties began, playing alongside Alex Wolfenden.

This year, 2009 has proven to be a fundamental year for Jon-Jak. It has seen him become a regular at Bora Bora beach bar and Savannas, as well as playing on Ibiza Global Radio.  Most importantly, for the second year running has seen him continue to successfully promote and run MiMo on Thursday nights at Guarana.

Currently working on two new tracks for release in Jan/Feb with Cafe Del Mar’s biggest producer, Steen Thottrup, 2009 looks set to be an even bigger year for Jon-Jak.

With his vast selection of deep house through to tech and pure house he always manages to provide the right atmosphere to any crowd and has had the pleasure of playing alongside some great DJ’s including; Bushwacka, Sarah Main, Tim Sheridan, Dave Phillips, Alex Miles, Javi Munez, Oliver Lang, M.a.n.d.y, Valentino Kanzyani, David Sanchez, System of Survival, David Moreno, Jim Rivers and Rob Marmot to name but a few.  Watch this space…this boy is going places!
