BIOGRAPHY
In just a few years Jaymo & Andy George have built an entire world‚and that world is Moda.
From an intimate gathering of music loving friends, to thousands of people losing their minds in dark warehouses, old theatres, abandoned cellars and globally renowned super clubs; the venues may keep changing but Moda's ethics stay the same - forward thinking music, innovative DJs and an all encompassing house party vibe.
Since meeting in 2008 Jaymo & Andy have established one of the UK's most recognisable music brands, launched two record labels, performed two live Essential Mixes, produced a covermount CD for Mixmag and secured two of the most important residencies in the world; We Love Space and Fabric London.
Their obsessive approach to finding new music has lead to an ongoing relationship with Radio 1, where the guys can be found regularly sharing their passion with millions of listeners, often covering for the likes of Pete Tong and Annie Mac.
Known for breaking numerous homegrown acts, Jay & Andy's Moda Music record label has evolved into two highly acclaimed entities; Moda Music caters for disco, indie and electronica whilst Moda Black spotlights the underground sound of their DJ sets.
With artists such as Russ Yallop, Droog, Tiefschwarz, DJ T and Sasha already getting behind Moda Black, it's a very exciting addition to the family. Moda Black also provides a platform for J&AG's original productions - their forthcoming Hump & Grind EP is already being supported by Claude VonStroke and Eats Everything.
This Summer sees the release of the debut Moda Black compilation CD (15 exclusive tracks by the labels artists and extended family, mixed by J&AG) as well as countless festivals, their return residency at We Love Space, more parties at Fabric London and one-off raves anywhere big enough to fit Funktion 1 and a stack of crates.
