It’s fast approaching and we can’t wait, a return to our favourite Italian city of Torino. Celebrating 5 years of Savana Potente in style with Joris Voorn, Technasia and Gambo, more info here.

The following slightly eccentric copy is a direct translation from the flyer, obviously a birthday party not to be missed…

The bricks of the Republic shape the Potente (powerful) Tetris. Week after week, from party to party, by collecting Savana Potente’s flyers, you can set the Independent Republic poster.

At the door of the Medina it’s up to the Republic’s doorkeeper and keymaster to decide who will participate in Saturday’s market.

We suggest everybody arrives early and we remind you to contact your trustworthy PR for reductions and tables.

To the sound of the Potente (powerful) melody, the citizen has the duty to revel in order to contribute to the spiritual progress of the Independent Republic.

We Love… Torino

Tuesday, February 15th, 2011

Keeping it in the family we make a return visit to the historical city of Turin in north Italy on Saturday 19th of March for a tech-house fuelled reunion with the go-to-crew for cutting edge electronica Savana Potente. We Love favourite Joris Voorn defined a summer residency here in Ibiza which encompassed our two mighty main-rooms of La Terraza and Discoteca. He exceed already high expectations, bringing some of his friends and contemporaries along for this ride including Technasia who will join in him Turin. Young and respected local resident Gambo will be hosting proceedings from the off.

Click that flyer below for more information.

We Love Savana Potente – Cinque Anni con Savana

Monday, February 7th, 2011

The last time we we visited Torino it was fantastic to see old friends from years in Ibiza in their homegrown institution of Savana Potente. It was a techno marathon of sorts encompassing a day and night aspect involving Ellen Allien, Marcel Dettmann and Ben Klock headlining two clubs including the intimate Pier Club right on the river Po. This time we’ll be sticking to Chalet Del Valentino, a glass atrium with a retractable roof in the lush surroundings of a city park. Joris Voorn, a man who can galvanise a crowd like no other will be playing alongside Technasia who made his We Love Space debut in the summer to great acclaim. Check out the event page, here.

As you can see, this spring will mark 5 years of Savana Potente in Torino with our party being sandwiched between We Love favourite Martin Buttrich and Loco Dice. It’s a credit to the team at Savana Potente that they are able to both bring the underground quality from Berlin to Connecticut while bringing through their own young talents in the likes of Yaya. See you in Torino!

We Love… Savana Potente – Die Musik Ist Kollektive Vorstellungswelt

Monday, May 3rd, 2010

Pope Benedict XVI (Joseph Ratzinger to his friends) had to contend with not being the only famous son / daughter of Germany in Torino, Italy last weekend. In conjunction with our friends at Savana Potente; Ellen Allien, Marcel Dettmann and Ben Klock flew in from Berlin to sample local cuisine and indulge in a techno marathon taking place over two clubs in the historic city. Here is a taster of the film we’ve made of the night (and day) with some screen shots to whet your appetite…

Like all good nights in Italy, it began with fine food

Have a look at this short video created to promote the event online. The soundtrack is composed exclusively and originally by Jozif to complement the visuals. The musical brief was to make something that sounds like Star Trek on drugs yet is fluffy and acidic and with something four-to-the-floor for “the heads”.
