Father/son duo Alfredo and Jaime Fiorito have recently launched the Heritage Project website. It will eventually contain a timeline tracking not just the musical evolution of an island, but the growth of a family too. The received wisdom is that everything that can be has been said about Ibiza. There is an element of truth in that, who can blame people for over-mytholigising dance music’s Shangri-La. The most interesting (and honest) tales from any movement often come from the inside looking out, and if there’s one person who’s been at the epicentre of what it means to be balearic for almost three decades, it’s Alfredo.
