Bonar Bradberry and Tom Thorpe make up the boogie boat that is PBR STREETGANG. One of the most interesting and underrated collaborations in club land that has earned them respect across the spectrum, from Crazy P and Greg Wilson to Nic Fanciulli and Ralph Lawson. Their unique musical approach threads paradise garage disco to deep groovy house and techno seamlessly, never failing to connect with the crowd. Over last five years of their DJ partnership has evolved into an audience enthralling show that flows effortlessly from ableton live to the turntables and back again.
These sets are the trademark sound of their northern home, Asylum at the Mint Club in Leeds, where they have played host to everyone from Theo Parrish and Danny Krivit to Steve Lawler and Luciano.
In the last couple of years they have toured Australia and closer to home Ireland, as well as leaving their mark on the festival circuit playing to the packed Strongbow tents at the Isle of Wight and V festival.
The summer of 2009 saw a full schedule from the bright lights of their debut at Glastonbury and the Garden Festival Croatia… their dates for WeLove Space, Ibiza for the second year running. To the more local but equally loved places, Kendall calling Festival and the infamous Below parties in Birmingham. Not just content with expressing themselves on the ‘ones and two’s they have developed their craft in the studio…with their first releases on Red Music being followed up by their first major remix of Crazy P “Love on the Line”. This year they have new tracks out Future Classic & DJ History (as Bonar Bradberry) and just signed more to Weirdo Police and YamWho? ‘s new label ISM to look out for later in the year …
2010 for the boys deservedly won a residency on the hallowed Space Terrace bringing their digital disco and chunking house to the Ibiza masses.
Whether its gigs or music …..this a boat trip you shouldn’t miss….
