WE LOVE...THE END OF AUGUST!

Having only just recovered from the ringing from our ears after last week’s Detroit-infused music fest – on which note, big props must go to We Love… newcomer Matthew Dear for rocking the Terraza, and also to old hands Carl Craig and Derrick May, who played their final Discoteca sets for 2010 on Sunday – and now we’re ready to do it all again! This week, we’ve got a very special last minute addition to our line-up on the Terraza… a live set from Tensnake. After all the hype surrounding his recent Ibiza shows, we couldn’t resist the chance to snap him up for a night! Playing from midnight until 1am, be sure you get in early to catch him – get in even earlier to see why our resident Jem Haynes is one of the most talked-about DJs on the island! Following on from Tensnake is exclusive We Love… resident Joris Voorn, then Paul Woolford, before the mighty 2manydjs bring the room to a massive close.

On the Sunset Terrace, it’s the very special, locals-only, back-to-back special, with Jason Bye and Andy Baxter cruising through the first half of the afternoon, kicking off at 4.30pm, followed by father-and-son duo Alfredo and Jaime Fiorito for the late session. Keeping the local and Balearic vibes flowing are our collective of rooftop residents on the Premier Etage, Ben Korbel, Alex Wolfenden, Camilo Franco and Ian Blevins.

Speaking of local, you can’t get much more of an iconic Ibiza destination than Inkadelic – the tattoo studio of choice for locals and plenty of international ink enthusiasts alike. To celebrate their 19th anniversary, we’ve invited main man Neil Ahern to host El Salon for the evening, with cohorts DJs Luca C & Brigante, DJ Blue (aka Hunk Papa, a founding member of the UK B-Boy Championships, who has specially prepared a set of zulu-dub and liquid-reggae), Jon-Jak and Samir manning the decks. There will also be live tattooing taking place in the room – get inspired… then Get Tested! with the Hepatitis C campaign raising awareness for the cause throughout the club all night.

It’s taken us four years to get him back to our Discoteca, as he’s one of the most impossible artists to book for Ibiza, but we’ve scored an exclusive, one-night-only show from James Holden, and we’re very excited to welcome him back to close the room with a bang. Earlier on, the festivities commence with Paul Mogg, followed by The Mole live (also his only Ibiza show this year) and another welcome return, this time of our good mate Ewan Pearson.

Last, but not least, up in the Red Box, The Burlington Project presents our new Freshblood winners, Mono_Cult (read more about their party below), featuring Matt Long, Brad Mercer and Paul Kaminski in the booth, alongside residents Ryan O’Gorman, Andy Carroll and Scott Martin. WE LOVE... RADIO Our DJ in the mix this week is New York based DJ and producer Matthew Dear, who made his first ever appearance on the We Love… Space Terraza. Our DJ music selector this week is We Love… resident DJ Alex Wolfenden, who chooses three of his current top tunes for this week’s podcast. We got out and about with live reports from El Salon and the Discoteca, where Ralph Lawson’s 2020 Soundsystem performed live. WE LOVE... GET TESTED!

In our annual bout of goodwill, we’ve invited the lovely folk from The Hepatitis C's GET TESTED! campaign to join us once again to help raise money and awareness for their cause this Sunday! You’ll spot the Space staff sporting campaign T-shirts and we'll be asking all those on our guest list to pay a nominal fee for their entry (and ticket holders can also feel free to donate), which will be donated to the charity.
