The winter months have passed, and the summer is nearly upon us, and for so many that means one thing. A return to Ibiza, and ultimately to 16 weeks of forward-thinking beats, and to WeLove…Space, Sundays.
Moving into our 10th season together at Space, you will excuse us for becoming emotional. Tastes may have evolved and opinions ever-change, but we have been steadfast in our objective. To keep you dancing day & night, to bring you memories you’ll never forget, and introduce you to friends you wish you could.
We Love…has grown hand in hand with our friends at Space. Every year Pepe et al improve their club and We hope, We in turn, do likewise. The addition last year of El Salon boosting the amount of Arenas at Space to a staggering 6 and thus, the variety this allows us to program has led to comparisons to the We Love…event being likened more to a Festival, than a Club. This it not something We have shied from, in fact it’s been positively encouraged and have always perceived this to be the case, the original day and night festival.
It’s not only our party, our club or scene that has changed forever over these 10 seasons, but our world and Ibiza has changed enormously and with these changes come new responsibilities. Conjecture and speculation has been rife since last season about the new laws and rules affecting us all. We Love…have always been concerned about the environment in which we operate. However, we may not have been alone in taking the magic of Ibiza for granted for too long. Let’s not forget this Island was largely untouched before the party invasion and while the arguments surrounding it may be different sides of the same coin, We will push forward with making as many people happy while upsetting as few as possible.
As such, this season We Love… will be using only recycled materials for our promotional flyers and posters, We will also be severely limiting the number of these, so get them while you can! Our philosophy is to move this whole process forward in conjunction with the world we all now live and encourage our fellow promoters to do likewise.
The successes of our podcast and We Love…tv series’ have also enlightened us in this new dawn. Both will be returning in their original weekly format, however bigger and better than they were before, and with the return of A N Other WeLover, our erroneous blogger. This is the place to keep up to speed on all things We Love…
As we celebrate 10 Seasons Together we thought it appropriate to have the obligatory Birthday party. The problem being with these things that not all your friends can make the same night and sometimes there’s not enough room to invite everyone. Our solution? 16 birthday parties!
1600hrs every Sunday until 0600hrs every Monday, We Love…will be blowing out the candles one by one. Joining us this year will be what we believe to be the finest collection of residents the World has to offer…
